OK, the year is winding down and your team needs to hit their numbers. Yes, 2012 has been tough but finishing strong is so important on so many fronts. If you have reps that are not even close to hitting their numbers, but are people who are valuable how they finish is critical to their confidence. So here is a brief list of suggestions to coach staff to finish strong:
- Re-create new short-term goals for those who need it.
- Get engaged NOW! What that means is asking questions, REALLY listening to employee’s challenges, and defining ways to work together to build success!
- Leave small notes on pc's stating you are proud of them and their effort (in essence you are telling them "keep going")
- Have fun - create activities that involve physical activity. Keep in mind motion creates emotion. People always perform better when the blood is flowing
- Last, stay positive. The way you walk, talk, and act dictates the way they should behave. If you act negative it gives others permission to do the same thing so be aware of how act, the language you use, etc. By the way how often do you use the word OPPORTUNITY?
Good Luck and Stay Upbeat
(your people need you to)
