One of the great advantages of coaching other people is it you ultimately coach yourself. Scientists state one of the healthiest things that we can do is have something called self-talk. When we are coaching people we alternately can use the same techniques strategies questions and methods to coach ourselves. For example, I did a hike last year at Pikes Peak in Arizona and was literally struggling (see post here: ) and found myself coaching myself by challenging myself to keep going. I was actually asking myself questions. In the end without doing that I would not have completed the 2.5 mile hike. When we invest in others they in turn will invest in themselves but equally as important we are also investing in ourselves!
