    Acting more like a coach

So how can a Manager behave more like a Coach?

    1. Ask good questions
      • Asking questions is a great way to help employees solve the problem on their own, instead of you giving them the answer.
    2. Guide the conversation
      • Similar to asking questions, help guide the conversation towards the right direction in order to push the employee towards figuring out a solution or a mutual agreement of the priorities of development.
    3. Ensure that the feedback information is understood
      • Make sure that your employee understands the feedback you give them. Again, asking clarifying questions is the best way to do this.
    4. Do your part to support the employee
      • Showing that you support your employees is extremely important. You can do this through a shared commitment to their goals and responsibilities.
