    Coaching requires managers to possess a variety of skill sets. It is incumbent upon each manager who coaches the employees to better performance to be conscientious of the core skill sets that make a great coach. The following are the top five skill sets a great coach must possess:

    1. Engagement

    2. Active listening

    3. Cultural awareness

    4. Positive reinforcement

    5. Eye contact
